A new purpose-built train maintenance facility is being built at Kangy Angy on the NSW Central Coast, otherwise named the New Intercity Fleet Maintenance Facility (NIF) for Transport for NSW. The facility will service and maintain the new fleet of intercity trains and includes offices, amenities, staff parking and ancillary buildings.
Dyna-Fix Commercial has been engaged by John Holland to supply and install aluminium windows and doors to the maintenance facility, both internal and external elements of the building along with a decorative batten screen for the traction station building. With a big emphasis on energy and acoustics, Dyna-Fix Commercial has worked closely with John Holland, the architect and the client to ensure compliance is achieved. The use of Alspec Hunter Evo 150mm wide pocket framing to accommodate the 39.5mm IGU units was instrumental in being able to meet the ratings required.
Site size is 10ha.
